My favorite days are when I get to help throw the party for my friends. Especially when they let me go wild and get to throw my hands in almost every aspect of the big day.

With the Goodland Hotel as our backdrop we wanted to do a color progression from white to fiesta sunset from ceremony to reception to kick up the color as the party progresses. For ceremony we built an asymmetric babies breath cloud on driftwood found by the bride and groom which we repurposed to the sweetheart table for reception. For the personal flowers, we transitioned into a pale peach and yellow palette with a focus on those frilled gerber daisies that stole my heart. For a little something blue, we scattered a little thistle into the boutonnieres, dog collars and cut blue topaz into the crystal comb we had in Lauren’s hair for a post ceremony hair piece.

For the reception, we set the Goodland’s restaurant with long grouped tables with Lauren’s Grandmother’s doily collection and groupings of vintage bud vases with wildflowers, billy balls, and fiesta carnations to go max party time before the dance floor opened.

It was the best.
