There’s a certain level of kitch that comes with having a 4/20 wedding. One is having a lot of fun with the hashtag (#packabowlforcole & #coleymatrimony) and two is full creative freedom to play into it. Luckily for me, Jason and Lindsey are one of the most fun couples I know and their wedding day did not disappoint.

We started off the planning process with the general theme of boho fun meets rustic eclectic. We wanted a lot of color, cactus/succulent vibes, crystals for the rock nerds, and a hint of DIY. Basically, we lived in my aesthetic happy place. Our main flowers were: dried grasses, protea, amaranths, poppies, peonies, combo roses, fiesta carnations & blue thistle to tie the batiked napkins/table runners into the party.

For ceremony we wanted to keep that glorious creek overlook the star of the show. That floor arch was one of my favorite pieces to create to mark the ceremony space in addition to the gorgeous rug and lanterns from Party Pleasers. Lindseys bouquet was a Pink King Protea and coral charm peony party. Jason bout is now forever going to be called a “Buddonniere” (zoom in wink wink).

Cocktail Hour was full of family nods. For hightop tables we used small olive wood bowls and ikebana style arrangements to add color. For this portion of the night, Lupin was our main ingredient which was Jason’s Grandmothers favorite flower. Luckily for me it was peak season and it grows wildly in the hillsides above the shop. 10/10 would 6am hike for lupin for you two again.

Reception is where we had all the planning fun. The Sweetheart table is always my favorite. We did one long large arrangement flagged with large crystal clusters with a huge leaf detailed macrame backdrop. The peacock chairs rented from Party Pleasers was the ultimate perfect detail. For the head tables, we had two long rows of the most beautiful ranch style tables. We did large dough bowls in the center of each table and clusters of crystals, cactus arrangements, and cactus table numbers trailing in between each arrangement. It was so gorgeous. For circular guest tables, we did arrangements in small dough bowls that guests could take home at the end of the night.

It was the perfect day captured so amazing by my girls at I Heart My Groom. Thanks Ladies for the amazing photos (as always!).
